Social Worker - op




Vocabulary:

Neglect: to give not enough care or attention to people or things that are your responsibility.

Safeguarding: to protect something from harm.

Attachment: a feeling of love or strong connection to someone or something.

Foster: to take care of a child, usually for a limited time, without being the child’s legal parents.

Mistreat: to treat a person or animal badly, cruelly on unfairly.

Ill-treat: to treat someone badly, especially by being violent or by not taking care of them.

Handicapped: not able to use part of your body or your mind because it has been damaged in some way.

Disabled children: handicapped.

Residential child care home and settings : institution who take care of children on behalf of their parents.
